  • Measure advertising effectiveness and improve marketing activity
  • Comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our Terms and policies

You can unsubscribe from non-essential marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the email or contacting hello@okayness.com. 3. Legal basis for processing

Where applicable data-protection laws require a legal basis, we process personal information because:

  • It is necessary to provide the Services you request or to perform our agreement with you.
  • It is necessary for our legitimate interests, such as running and improving the platform, preventing fraud, ensuring security, and communicating with users, provided those interests do not override your rights.
  • You have given consent, including for certain cookies, marketing communications, or optional data uses.
  • We need to comply with a legal obligation or respond to a lawful request.

4. Cookies, analytics, and advertising technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to make our website and platform work, remember preferences, keep users signed in, understand site usage, improve performance, and support relevant advertising.

We may use:

  • Essential cookies for login, security, payment flow, website functionality, and saved preferences
  • Analytics tools, including Google Analytics, to understand website traffic and user behaviour
  • Advertising and measurement tools, including the Meta Pixel, to assess campaign performance, create audiences, and show or measure relevant advertising
  • Cookies or tools set by service providers, such as Stripe, YouTube, or embedded third-party content

You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings. However, disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of the website or platform from working properly.

Where required by applicable law, we will request consent before placing non-essential cookies or similar technologies.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information only, when necessary, with trusted service providers that help us operate the business and deliver the Services, including:

  • Stripe, for payment processing and refund processing
  • Supabase, for database and platform-related data storage
  • Our CRM and email communication tools
  • WhatsApp, where you choose to communicate or participate through WhatsApp
  • Analytics and advertising providers, including Google Analytics and Meta
  • YouTube, where video content is embedded, hosted, or delivered through the course experience
  • Technology, hosting, customer-support, security, or operational providers used to run the platform
  • Professional advisers, insurers, regulators, law-enforcement bodies, courts, or other authorities where required or permitted by law

We require service providers to handle information only as needed to provide their services to us and in accordance with their own applicable legal and contractual obligations.

We may also share information if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of Okayness, our users, or others; investigate fraud or security incidents; enforce our Terms; or comply with legal requirements.

6. International data transfers

Okayness operates from Lebanon, while some of our service providers may process or store information in other countries.

By using the Services, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in countries outside Lebanon or outside your country of residence. Data-protection laws in those countries may differ from those in your country. Where appropriate, we will take reasonable steps to protect information transferred internationally.

7. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Services, maintain learner records, provide ongoing course access, meet legal, accounting, tax, security, and dispute-resolution obligations, and enforce our agreements.

Because eligible course purchases include ongoing access, we may retain account, purchase, and course-progress information for the operational lifetime of the business or platform, unless you request deletion and we are not required or permitted to retain specific information.

We may retain certain information after a deletion request where necessary to comply with legal obligations, maintain financial and tax records, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or protect the security and integrity of our Services.

8. Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Request deletion of your information in certain circumstances
  • Request a copy or export of certain personal information
  • Object to, or request restriction of, certain processing
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
  • Opt out of marketing communications
  • Complain to a relevant data-protection authority, where applicable

To submit a privacy request, email hello@okayness.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” Please describe your request clearly and provide enough information for us to verify your identity and locate the relevant records.

We aim to respond within a reasonable timeframe and, where possible, within 30 days. We may need to retain some information for legal, legitimate business, fraud-prevention, security, or record-keeping purposes.

9. Data security

We use reasonable technical, organisational, and administrative measures designed to protect personal information from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

However, no online system, data transmission, or method of storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your account password and for notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

10. Third-party links and services

Our website or platform may include links to, integrations with, or embedded content from third-party services. This may include Stripe, YouTube, WhatsApp, Google, Meta, social-media platforms, or other external tools.

We do not control the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before submitting information or using their services.

11. Children’s privacy

Okayness Services are intended for adults aged 20 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 20 years old.

If you believe a person under 20 has provided us with personal information, please contact hello@okayness.com so that we can investigate and, where appropriate, delete the information.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, platform, legal obligations, or services.

The updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Where a change is material, we may also notify you by email or through the platform. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
